Turkey's furniture and forestry products exports reached $8.4 billion in 2025, securing the country's position as the world's seventh-largest furniture exporter. Net furniture exports stood at $4.6 billion. The industry is growing fast — with a declared target of $12 billion by 2030 — and the manufacturing infrastructure behind those numbers is unlike anything else in the region.

Trade Istanbul Hub has built a verified cluster of 120+ furniture manufacturers across Turkey's key production cities. Every factory has been personally visited. Every relationship is active.

The Manufacturing Geography

Istanbul maintained its lead among exporting provinces with $3.5 billion in furniture shipments in 2025. It was followed by Bursa's İnegöl district with $910 million, İzmir with $820 million, Kayseri with $600 million, and Gaziantep with $590 million.

Istanbul — MASKO and Modoko

Istanbul's two dominant furniture manufacturing zones are MASKO in the İkitelli Organised Industrial Zone and Modoko in Ümraniye. MASKO alone hosts 3,000+ manufacturers operating 365 days a year — one of the world's largest permanent furniture manufacturing and trading complexes. The range spans every category from luxury upholstered sofas to contract hotel furniture, office systems, children's collections, and flat-pack formats for retail.

Kayseri

Kayseri's 400 firms in the organised industrial zone are heavily export-oriented, with 18.7% of Turkey's total furniture export originating from the city. Kayseri specialises in upholstered furniture — sofas, armchairs, beds, and bedroom sets — produced at scale for European, Gulf, and US markets. The city rose to prominence through sofa and bed manufacturing and has since expanded across the full residential furniture range.

İnegöl, Bursa

İnegöl's furniture cluster comprises 3,000 companies and is Turkey's premier solid wood furniture destination. Manufacturers here specialise in solid oak, walnut, beech, and pine constructions — bedroom sets, dining tables and chairs, classic and transitional styles, and outdoor solid wood collections. İnegöl is where serious wood furniture buyers come.

Takke (Düzce & Bolu region)

The Bolu-Düzce corridor is one of Turkey's most important wood product and furniture manufacturing regions — positioned close to forest raw material sources and producing solid wood and MDF-based furniture for both domestic and export markets.

İzmir — Karabağlar and Kısıkköy

İzmir's furniture districts specialise in contemporary and modern residential furniture with strong design orientation. Manufacturers here serve European buyers looking for design-led collections at competitive prices.

Antalya

Antalya's furniture manufacturers have developed significant strength in outdoor, terrace, and hotel contract furniture — driven by the city's proximity to Turkey's hospitality industry and the specific requirements of resort and hotel operators.
